Mission Statement

At South River Elementary School, our mission is to promote strong academics, provide state of the art programs which empower students to make responsible choices, and to encourage a strong partnership between home and school.

The outstanding reputation of our school system continues to attract families seeking an excellent education for their children. We strive to help students learn to use their minds well, so that they will be prepared for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive in our modern economy. We take great pride in our academic offerings and our Elementary School's efforts to maintain high academic expectations.

The philosophy within our school is that all students can and will succeed. We believe that every child should feel that school is vitally important to his/her future future and that he/she becomes able to conceptualize, analyze, and synthesize utilizing critical, higher order thinking skill capabilities. We believe that this can occur when students are fully engaged participants in their own learning experiences.
